Enjoy a great yoga vacation on the beautiful island of St Croix, amidst all the comforts of the Caribbean Sea: the breeze, the sun, and always a beautiful ocean view. This Ashtanga Yoga retreat consists of five daily 2-hour workshop classes. Students can book accommodation of their choice and budget. St. Croix is unique in that it is still "undiscovered." It is not over-run with tourists and you can still find quiet, out of the way places. When not practicing yoga, snorkel at Buck Island, scuba dive, or go for a nature hike. Flights arrive into STX (Henry E. Rohlson Airport) St Croix is 3.5 hrs south of NYC, and flights go via Miami or San Juan, Puerto Rico.
USAirways and American Airlines both fly to St Croix (STX). Another option is to book flights from NYC to San Juan, and then San Juan to STX separately.PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A NON-REFUNDABLE FLIGHT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION of YOUR REGISTRATION FOR THE RETREAT
Travel documentation:
The U.S. Department of Justice has confirmed that traveling with a US Passport is not a requirement for American citizens when coming to St. Croix. A valid photo ID is all you need to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands, although it is recommended that you also bring a copy of your birth certificate. Please call U.S. Customs at 340-773-1490 if you have any questions.
If you are not a US citizen but want to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands, a passport from your country of origin is required.
Rental Car:
You may want to share a rental car with someone to see the island in your free time. Driving is on the left side of the road in St. Croix! (but the driver is still on the left!)

Buck Island sailing & snorkeling tour: This island and its reef have been made a National Park. Turtle Beach on Buck's west end has been voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches by National Geographic. The underwater trail is a snorkelers' dream come true.
Scuba Diving: There are more than 50 sites to choose from, including a drop-off called "the wall" at Cane Bay, a short swim from the beach, which runs almost the entirety of the North Shore. Diving in Frederiksted offers six sunken ships and the pier, which is one of the best night dives on the island. Almost all of the dive shops offer a one day introductory course, so you have no excuse but to experience scuba for yourself.
